GEMBO PRECARE creates digital twins for any legacy or new factory floor machinery, turning these machines in Internet of Things (IoT) devices. In the joint GEMBO-PARTNERBO-SAP solution, depicted in the diagram below, GEMBO PRECARE agents are responsible for implementation of Digital Twin representations of factory floor machines and for latency-sensitive edge processing, feeding machine operational data to the GEM PRECARE Cloud Platform, running in a private (on-premise), hybrid or public cloud, where the data is packaged into data structures for efficient retrieval and processing.
Exposure of Digital Twin set up and configuration data structures allows SAP Cloud IoT users to conveniently onboard, configure and deploy machine Digital Twins from the user-friendly graphical interface provided by SAP IoT Services IoT Cockpit. Machine Digital Twin data ingestion via SAP Leonardo exposes the GEMBO PRECARE Cloud data structures to GEMBO PRECARE Cloud Applications in the areas of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM).
The GEMBO PRECARE Cloud Application suite for OEE analytics allows manufacturers to access critical OEE KPIs for Availability, Performance and Quality in order to track OEE and to identify the root causes of degradation of any of these KPIs. In addition manufacturers can perform OEE financial sensitivity analyses which help them to assess the return of investment for measures intended to improve OEE.
The GEMBO predictive maintenance application allows manufacturers to calculate the probability of a machine failure as a function of time at accuracies that are as good or better than experienced machine operators. This allows maintenance personnel to plan for just-in-time maintenance, cutting down on unnecessary machine downtime and keeping machine performance and yield at optimal levels.
PARTNERBO provides the necessary OT-IT integration services for Edge system, B2B, MES, ERM and CRM systems so that big data from all corners of the manufacturing enterprise become available to drive data-driven decisions with enterprise-wide data participation.
